The country has received another group of four third-country nationals transferred from the United States (US).
This latest arrival marks a continuing partnership between the two nations regarding international migration management.
According to a press statement released by acting Government Spokesperson Thabile Mdluli, the group consists of individuals from Tanzania, another from Sudan, and two from Somalia.
This arrival follows a previous cohort of ten nationals who arrived in October last year, adding to an initial group of five received in July.
Mdluli provided context for these arrivals, noting that they are part of a formal arrangement established a year ago.
“The nation will recall that in 2025, the Kingdom of Eswatini entered into an agreement with the United States of America under which the United States would transfer third-country nationals to Eswatini for the purpose of facilitating their eventual repatriation to their respective countries of origin.”
The Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini considers it prudent to further update the nation that progress has been made with regard to the repatriation processes of some of the third-country nationals,” said Mdluli.

There have already been successful outcomes from this programme. Mdluli stated that following the successful repatriation of a Jamaican national in September last year, another individual has received travel documents and is expected to depart the country shortly.

“Intensive engagements with the respective countries of origin for the remaining third-country nationals are ongoing. Government once again extends its deepest appreciation to its strategic partner, the International Organization for Migration, experts in the migration field, for their continued support and assistance in the implementation of this programme,” she added.
She further stated that government was committed to ensuring that the rights and dignity of these individuals are upheld during their stay.
To date, the country has accepted three separate batches of nationals under this specific agreement.
As of October 2025, the United States has deported at least 19 third-country nationals to the country.

These individuals are from nations including Cuba, Jamaica, Laos, Vietnam and Yemen among others.
Since February 2025, third-country deportations have been systematically pursued as an immigration enforcement tool in the United States.
The agreements have been made with numerous countries to accept third-country deportees. In exchange for accepting non-nationals, foreign governments have in return received money, visa restriction lifts and other favourable treatment from high-level officials in government.
