Ezulwini Chief Sifiso Mashampu Khumalo has extended deepest gratitude to His Majesty King Mswati III for his visionary leadership in bringing Ezulwini Palazzo development to fruition.
Khumalo noted that it would, no doubt, transform the Ezulwini community and bring it closer to the first-world status the country aspires to achieve.
He said the king’s visionary leadership has brought a transformative development to life.
The chief framed the moment as a direct reflection of the king’s commitment to national progress and community upliftment.
“This initiative reflects His Majesty’s unwavering commitment to the welfare and advancement of citizens, we are grateful for that and pledge our continued support,” he said.
The Ezulwini Palazzo which was officially opened on April 25 stands as one of the most ambitious developments in the kingdom which is now fully capacitated to host global high-level summits.
The facility is expected to match and even surpass the standards of other convention centres across Africa, positioning Eswatini to attract world leaders, policymakers and top business executives.
Khumalo highlighted that the development was not only symbolic but deeply practical in its impact on everyday lives.

“Ezulwini Palazzo development will no doubt transform Ezulwini Community and bring it close to first world that the country is aspiring to become.
“It definitely signifies economic growth, job creation and improved livelihoods and a true demonstration that Ezulwini continues to be a central pillar for development in the country.
“Projects of this nature bring hope, opportunities and a renewed sense of pride to our community,” he said.
Inspired by Dubai’s Versace Palazzo, the ICC reflects a global standard of design and ambition.
King Mswati III referenced this influence several times during the opening, even describing the facility as the “Dubai of Eswatini,” underscoring its international appeal.
Khumalo further emphasised the tangible benefits for residents, adding,
“The benefits to the community are massive. It will create employment for the locals.
There will also be skills transfer in the hospitality and related sectors.
“With such development, infrastructure and social services in the area improve, thereby improving the quality of life.
“The community will be empowered socially and economically.”
He said the hotel and ICC positions Ezulwini as a premier destination for tourism, business and international engagement, integrating the area into regional and global economic networks.
