AMOS William Zaindi has been appointed as the new National Director for World Vision Eswatini.
Zaindi started in his new role on Friday, following the departure of former national director Tinah Mukunda, who joined World Vision Ghana as the new ND.
WVE Board of Directors Chairperson Siceliwe Mngometulu announced Zaindi’s appointment and welcomed him. She described him as an accomplished international development professional and thought leader with over 22 years of experience in international relief, development, and sponsorship programming.

Zaindi’s experience spans multiple sectors, including:

Livelihoods, agriculture, and food security

Education, including EdTech

Health and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene)

Gender and women’s economic empowerment

Emergency response
Over the years, Zaindi has championed strategic, mutually beneficial partnerships across the public sector, civil society, and private sector. He has worked in various countries in Eastern and Southern Africa, including Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Zambia, and Malawi, designing and delivering both humanitarian and development programmes.
Previous Roles
Zaindi joined World Vision Eswatini from Imagine Worldwide, where he served as Chief of Party for the national foundation learning EdTech programme, promoting tablet-enabled learning to accelerate numeracy and literacy outcomes in Malawi, Tanzania, and Sierra Leone.
He has also held senior leadership roles—including director, country director, and chief of party—with various international organisations, including GOAL Malawi, Temwa (UK-based), Self Help Africa (SHA), Save the Children, Press Trust, and CARE.
