Sihlangu head coach Zdravko Logarusic has named his relatively young squad for next month’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon and Libya.
The nation’s pride will face Cameroon on September 4 before taking on Libya four days later, with both matches being played away.
The squad is expected to report for duty this morning at the Lobamba Technical Centre.
Squad Updates
A notable returnee is attacking winger Owa Matsebula, who was previously dropped following a fallout with Logarusic after skipping camp. Matsebula, now captain of Young Buffaloes, appears to have done enough to win back the Croatian coach’s favour.
However, notable absentees are the experienced striking duo of Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa and Felix ‘Fela’ Badenhorst.
South Africa-based players Justice Figuaredo and Alakhe Mdluli are the only internationals included in the squad.

Announcing the squad at the Lobamba Technical Centre, Logarusic said he had chosen players he believed were capable of delivering:
“These are the players I believe have the capacity to do the job. We may add three players after the start of the season, but the players must raise their hands,” he said.
The coach also urged the selected players to demonstrate professionalism and a high level of commitment, as they would be representing the country.
