The stage is set for the National Media Awards, which will be taking place tonight at Royal Villas.
The awards have been relaunched under the stewardship of the Eswatini National Association of Journalists (ESNAJ) and the Eswatini Editors Forum (EEF) with the Marketing Advertising & Research Council (MARC) as an implementing partner.
Over 100 entries have been received for the various categories which include Journalist of the Year, Story of the Year, Photographer of the Year, Emerging Reporter of the Year, Business Reporter of the Year to name but a few.

The 2025 NMAs were open to practicing journalists whose work has been published or aired by media houses registered in Eswatini.
Freelancers were also welcome provided their work appeared on qualifying platforms.
In terms of eligibility, entries that had been published or broadcast between 1 December 2024 and 8 December 2025 which meant that work outside this period could not be considered.
Each journalist was allowed to submit up to three entries in total.
The same piece of work was allowed to be entered in no more than two categories.
