Upscale Live

“Upscale Live is currently home to two talented artists: Lyrikal Busta and As 4 JerryP.

“While our first lady Pretty Hle and Virtuosouls departed the camp late last year to pursue new opportunities. This year is a major rollout year for our artist.

“We have strategically lined up music releases, visual content and full-length projects that will allow each artist to grow creatively while strengthening their connection with fans. The goal is consistency, quality and long-term impact.

“Both artists have new singles scheduled for release, supported by high-quality visuals and carefully curated promotional campaigns. We are also working on full-length projects and exploring collaborations that align with our sound and brand, both locally and beyond.

“We are placing strong emphasis on branding, storytelling and audience engagement through digital marketing, social media campaigns, media placements, radio support and live performance exposure. We are also investing in visuals and consistent content to ensure our artists remain visible and relatable to their growing fan base.

“We are currently working on a nationwide tour aimed at showcasing our music and connecting directly with fans across the country. Alongside this, we are planning media appearances, interviews and live showcases that will further strengthen both the artists’ profiles and the Upscale Live brand.

Leading music labels have revealed ambitious plans for 2026, including new releases, tours, collaborations and international expansion to grow the local music industry.

“Overall, this year represents growth, focus and elevation for Upscale Live. We are committed to building sustainable careers for our artists and continuing to contribute meaningfully to the local music industry.”

Mabonwa Abulawe Records

“Our confirmed artists are Young Zesh, Lesia Musiq, and Jimi Boi SD. These three form the core of the label’s creative direction, and more artists will be officially announced soon, as part of our growth plans.

“This year we are concentrating on strengthening artistic identity, improving production quality and building long-term brands.

“This includes structured studio sessions, song writing development and refined sound direction for each artist. Visual creativity is key, with high-quality music videos, professional photo-shoots and behind-the-scenes content.

“Digital growth is another major focus with consistent releases and strategic use of streaming platforms. Young Zesh will be releasing a full album this year, supported by lead singles and visuals. Lesia Musiq and Jimi Boi SD will be releasing singles. We also plan on doing collaborations to expand reach and introduce the artists to new audiences.

“We are also enhancing market reach through digital marketing, branding and media engagement.

“This includes targeted social media campaigns, playlist pitching, press features and online promotions, alongside building strategic relationships with DJs, promoters and content creators. We have planned live performances, club appearances and showcase events especially around major releases, supported by listening sessions, structured release campaigns, online teasers and fan engagement activities to strengthen fan connection and establish our label as a strong force in the music industry.”

Melting C

“Melting C’s diverse roster includes artists such as Trend Twins, Notik, Gifted Kosie, Mncedisi, Culolami and Genes of the Vibe.

“This year, we are looking forward to having our artists travelling internationally for events, just like we did last year.

“However, this year we anticipate bigger and better international opportunities. Furthermore, we will be releasing more music from our songwriters, DJs, singers and collaborating with other artists.

“One of our artists Kosie will be leading amapiano dance workshops in India soon. We also have major events lined up such as the MTN MoMo Xperience 2026 and Eswatini Farmers Market 2026.

“On collaborations and new music, Genes of the Vibe will soon release Basize featuring Young Zesh, Fisiwe, Nicki J and CnxBoi100.

“Our artist Notik, known for hip-hop drill, is exploring afro house on a new track Emandla with DJ C from South Africa set to drop this February.

“We have different ways we support our own, like helping artists identify their target audiences and plan projects to maximise growth and maintain momentum.

“We review contracts to ensure favourable terms and protect intellectual property. We also manage social media pages to boost promotion and marketing.

“On promotion, while some promotional activities remain under wraps, we continue with consistent social media engagement, secure bookings from clubs to festivals and submit music to relevant radio stations to keep our artists visible.”
