A wave of excitement is building among artists set to debut at this year’s Makoti Festival, with many describing the opportunity as a major milestone in their careers.
The fifth edition of the popular cultural event, scheduled for May 2 at Malkerns Country Club, promises a refreshed experience for revellers, highlighted by the introduction of a second performance area known as the Dance Stage.
The addition is expected to broaden the festival’s appeal while creating more room for emerging and established talent.
Among those set to debut on the new stage are DJs Touch of Soul, AyaCity and Bandora, who have all expressed enthusiasm ahead of their performances.
The trio noted that being part of the expanded platform signaled growth within the local music scene and offered them a chance to connect with a wider audience.
The Dance Stage will feature a diverse line-up of local DJs reinforcing the festival’s commitment to cultural exchange and artistic collaboration.
Organisers said the move was aimed at elevating the overall experience while maintaining the event’s core focus on promoting local talent.
With more than 40 acts expected to perform across the two stages, patrons can look forward to a vibrant showcase of music, dance and cultural expression.
The festival continues to cement its reputation as one of the country’s leading entertainment events.
