THE countdown to the much-anticipated Mr and Miss Sithobela 2025 pageant has begun, with the event set to take place on 30 August at the iconic Sithobela Sport Hall.

According to the pageant’s communications officer Silindelo Makhanya, this year’s pageant promises to be an extraordinary celebration of beauty, talent, and creativity, thanks to an impressive line-up of partnerships designed to elevate the experience for all 10 female and five male contestants.

Empowering Contestants

“One of the most exciting collaborations is with Franchise Beauty Studios, which will provide comprehensive makeup training to all female contestants. This initiative goes beyond the stage look, empowering young women with essential makeup skills and boosting their confidence. The reigning queen will receive a specialised makeup kit, a thoughtful gift to help her maintain her regal presence throughout her reign,” shared Makhanya.

In a unique twist, Junokuhle Upholstery will offer the five male contestants valuable upholstery training. The partnership not only highlights craftsmanship and creativity but also culminates in two beautifully crafted couches, one for the queen and one for the king, symbolising the contestants’ talents and the pageant’s commitment to artistry.

Sustainability and Style

Makhanya further shared that sustainability would take centre stage, with the Eswatini Environmental Authority (EEA) in talks to supply eco-friendly T-shirts for the event.

Fashion enthusiasts will be delighted by Millennium Trend’s contribution, outfitting participants in stunning suits and dresses for the formal wear parade. “This glamorous segment will showcase style and elegance, complementing the contestants’ poise and grace,” added Makhanya.

Competition and Judging

Contestants will compete in three exciting parades: traditional, casual, and formal wear, each judged on appearance, public speaking, and overall confidence. Judges from Seed Soil Harvest will bring their expertise to the panel, ensuring a fair and insightful evaluation.

Adding to the event’s prestige, Sithobela’s Member of Parliament Mancoba Victor Sihlongonyane will be in attendance, underscoring the pageant’s significance within the community.

This year’s event will see new participants take over the Mr and Miss Sithobela crown from Welile Kunene and Sebentile Tsabedze.

“As 30 August draws near, anticipation is building for a day filled with dazzling performances, inspiring talent, and the celebration of local culture. The Mr and Miss Sithobela 2025 pageant is set to be a memorable occasion that highlights beauty, skill, and community pride,” said Makhanya.
