The body of an Eswatini citizen has reportedly remained unclaimed at a state mortuary in South Africa for the past three weeks, following a fatal hit-and run on the N4 highway.
According to Middleburg Observer, the unidentified woman was tragically killed in the road accident.
AT the time of the incident, she was described as wearing brown pants and was carrying luggage.
South African police have taken possession of her passport and other personal belongings found at the scene.
Authorities are urging families in Eswatini with missing loved ones to contact the Middleburg Police Station in South Africa for inquiries, in an effort to facilitate identification and allow the deceased to be returned home for a dignified burial.
