In a powerful spiritual gathering held at Ludzidzini Royal Residence, the Nazareth Baptist Church conveyed a heartfelt message of reverence and blessing for Their Majesties yesterday.

The message delivered by Pastor Mpendulo Mkhonta on behalf of the church leader Unyazi Lwezulu Shembe emphasised the importance of national unity, respect for traditional leadership and divine protection for the royal family.

The sacred morning service formed part of the Shembe Church’s ongoing spiritual visit to Eswatini. Hundreds of congregants were transported in government-provided buses and were warmly welcomed by Ludzidzini Assistant Governor, Saddam Magongo.

In his address, Pastor Mkhonta drew from biblical wisdom, reading from Proverbs 16:12-13: “Kings take pleasure in honest lips; they value a man who speaks the truth.
A king’s wrath is a messenger of death, but a wise man will appease it.”

He cautioned the nation against actions that could anger the monarch, equating such acts with bringing misfortune upon oneself. “Upsetting the king is like causing death to oneself. When the king smiles, it means long life for everyone. This prayer is meant to bless the nation, and the biggest angel of all has landed here at Ludzidzini.

A kingdom becomes stable by doing well,” said Mkhonta. He further urged Emaswati to remain faithful to the monarch and emphasised that the Shembe Church’s act of kneeling in prayer at Ludzidzini symbolised the defeat of dark forces that may have been disturbing the nation.

“By kneeling down here, the demons that have been disturbing the country’s operations have bowed down,” he said.
The pastor also expressed the church’s deep love for the king, invoking ancestral blessings for his continued protection. “May the Almighty of our ancestors protect the king and we ask that he should never leave or forget us,” Mkhonta prayed.

Assistant Governor Saddam Magongo expressed gratitude on behalf of the royal household. “You have all left a blessing in this place and we strongly believe that Their Majesties will continue living in peace. On behalf of the king, we thank all of you for the blessing,” he said.Following the ceremony at Ludzidzini, the Shembe Church delegation proceeded to Ngabezweni Royal Residence to continue their prayer mission, reinforcing their spiritual support for the nation and its leadership.

This service follows the success the umgidi celebration held at esabelweni, Bethany on Sunday drawing in hundreds of congregants dressed in traditional uniforms all participating in this important religious and cultural event.
