Friday night saw a fully packed 23:28 Lounge as house heads filled the venue for unforgettable elegance, music, and fun.
This was during the Italian Elegant Xperience activation where headlining acts; music maestro Picat Da Italian and legendary Vinny Da Vinci thrilled the audience.
The night was filled with the audi incredible moments from the time the event started. Sets played by the main artists were thoroughly enjoyed by the crowd.
Vinny Da Vinci took over the decks at 10pm, playing mainly house music, mixed with deep and soulful house.
His set was appreciated by most attendees who were on their feet for the hour long play, bopping their heads with their hands in the air. Vinny Da Vinci played some timeless hits much to the amusement of the crowd, with fist pumps now and again.
He was followed by Picat Da Italian, at about 11pm, who greeted fans, artists and organisers of the event. He and Vinny Da Vincil played together for a few minutes, before Picat Da Italian took over. He mesmerised attendees from the first minute till the end.
The tireless crowd could not contain themselves on the dancefloor as Picat Da Italian maintained the same hype left by Vinny Da Vinci. His signature deejaying style left an impression on the crowd. Attendees crammed the front stage, dancing, taking pictures and videos of the artist who played hit after another. The music delivered united house fans, who held hands as they connected on a deeper level, through the music. The mood was electric, people conversing, dancing and genuinely having a good time. The newly-revamped venue had a photo booth and this added to the elegant aura that the event had wanted to capture.
There were lots of local artists and well known faces that came in support of the event. Artists who played earlier in the night such as Tibza, Slotta and DJ Cup stayed behind for the duration of the event, enjoying the sets by Vinny and Picat.
Some artists who were in attendance included the Trend Twins, Culolam, Smish from the Bishops, Jazzinsoul, Orthodox, Crooks, Katz and many more.
“The music was super. It was definitely on point. Very nice deep house sounds. The ambience was good. A lot of deep house lovers showed up and I am glad to have been there myself,” said Crooks.
Culolam said he had a great time. “The music was perfect and everyone seemed happy, which was wonderful to witness,” he said.
Another artist who commented on condition of anonymity said: “It was a great show. House music was well represented by both the local spinners and the international legends. It’s true that music unites people, it was a marvel seeing house heads united, in one spirit enjoying themselves throughout the night. Congratulations to the organising team for delivering a wonderful event.”
The Italian Elegant Xperience activation, which was being launched on the night, has over the years become a benchmark for sophistication and refinement in the electronic dance music scene.
Hosted several times in the country, the event has created a unique and unforgettable experience for its attendees locally and internationally.
