Over 200 families, including 320 children, have food to sustain them for the next few months following 8Bet’s generosity to the community of Sinyamantulwa under Lubulini inkhundla.
This was during the company’s corporate and social initiative drive which was held a few weeks ago, as 320 children were treated to a Christmas lunch and over 200 families given food hampers to sustain them during the January month.

Each benefiting household received a well-packaged food parcel which included 10kg of rice, 10kg of mealie meal, 5kg chicken portions, tinned fish, soup packets, green bar soap, sanitary towels and school shoes, among other necessities.
The company further donated 15 soccer balls to the children to keep them busy and encourage them that they had a normal childhood, which includes not only learning and working, but also time to stay healthy through exercise by being involved in sports.
Bucopho under Ntitwakazi Royal Kraal, Bonginkhosi Mabasa, thanked the company for its generosity, especially during such a critical time of poverty faced by some members of the community.
Mabasa said the outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease had also brought a burden to families in the area, as a majority of them were farmers and depended largely on livestock farming to sustain a living.
He also highlighted that families were unable to sell some of their livestock, yet they had previously relied on income from livestock sales to purchase food and meet household needs. The community said they would formally express their appreciation to 8Bet by writing a letter stating what the gesture meant to them.

Meanwhile, 8Bet’s Brand and Marketing Manager, Mnqobi Tsabedze, highlighted that the CSI investment amounted to over E200 000, reaffirming the company’s belief that success should go hand-in-hand with giving back to society.
Tsabedze added that as a leading betting company in the country, they champion responsible play. He said betting should entertain and never harm.
“Set limits, bet what you can afford, and know when to stop,” he said.
He stated that the company also supported education, self-control tools and open conversations, ensuring enjoyment remained safe, balanced and sustainable for individuals, families and communities across all levels of participation.
