Celebrating Cross-Border Collaboration
Speaking at the event, AIRCO Deputy Chairperson Stanley Khoza extended heartfelt gratitude to the ENCAC CEO for facilitating this pivotal collaboration.
“This is just the beginning of many more collaborations between our two nations,” Khoza stated, emphasising the strategic importance of cross-border artistic exchange.
Dlamini expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded to the Eswatini artists and delegation in Sandton. He specifically acknowledged the presence and instrumental role of the Eswatini National Arts and Culture Awards (NACA) Chairperson, the legendary Sipho Makhabane, who was part of the delegation and crucial in making this program a follow-up success to the recent Eswatini Arts Summit.
He reiterated the need for continued collaboration and extended an invitation to South African media to further promote Eswatini talent, highlighting the interconnectedness of the global village.
Studio Collaboration Born from Performance
A key outcome of the event was the immediate collaboration between Young Zesh and South African artist Yamke.
Khoza formally introduced the two artists, confirming that they had entered the studio on Monday to record a collaborative track with a top-tier technical team.
According to Khoza, Show Them Flames will oversee the post-production of the highly-anticipated song, with plans to visit Eswatini for its official launch.
