THE Taiwan Embassy has donated two cameras and two laptops to the Eswatini Observer.
The donation is aimed at improving the quality of the publication’s national news coverage and enhancing the effectiveness of its work.

The handover took place at the Taiwan Embassy premises in Mbabane yesterday.
Taiwan Ambassador Jeremy Liang said the embassy was committed to working closely with the newspaper to raise public awareness about the strong relations between Taiwan and Eswatini.
He explained that the bond between the two nations had grown beyond friendship and could now be described as a family relationship.

“We will do our best to continue lending our support,” Ambassador Liang promised.
Receiving the equipment on behalf of the Eswatini Observer, Acting Managing Director (MD) Mbongeni Mbingo expressed heartfelt gratitude to the embassy.
He said the donation would go a long way in improving the efficiency of the newspaper and strengthening its ability to deliver reliable information to the nation.

“On behalf of the team, we just want to say thank you. This is a great deal for us,” Mbingo said. He further highlighted that the donation was particularly meaningful given that it came despite the embassy’s limited resources.
He stressed that every effort and gesture of support was highly valued by the publication.
“These tools will definitely improve how we work.

“Over the years we have been improving step by step, but with this support we will be able to take five more steps ahead,” Mbingo explained.
He said the Eswatini Observer had long been dedicated to serving the public by reporting on national issues and the new equipment would strengthen its ability to produce high-quality content.

Mbingo stated that the donation reflected the ongoing friendship and cooperation between Taiwan and Eswatini, which continues to grow through initiatives that support development and progress across various sectors.
