Mdura described the experience as both thrilling and challenging.

“It was an incredible show; we had a really amazing comedy audience, perfect weather for comedy and all the comedians brought their A-game,” he said.

He added that performing after such seasoned acts pushed him to elevate his own delivery.

This marked Mdura’s second appearance at the Zed Laugh Festival, an opportunity he views as crucial for brand growth and career expansion. He noted that the platform offers visibility across Southern Africa, recalling that his previous set was filmed for ZambeziMagic, which boosted his regional reach.

“For me, it is growth not only as a brand but as a comedian. This kind of exposure opens a whole different world of experiences and opportunities,” he said.

Mdura revealed that new prospects have already emerged, confirming that he is currently filming for a television project targeting an international audience, with further collaborations in Zambia and beyond underway.

He expressed gratitude to South African comedian Thenjiwe for facilitating his participation and thanked the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture and Mzansi Golden Economy for supporting his trip.
