“In or around June 2025, I was approached by Alfred Tabello Kgomongwe (whom I shall refer to as Alfred) to take over Mbabane Highlanders Football Club. At that time, I did not know much about the club but only knew Alfred. I had a meeting with Alfred in Johannesburg, which sparked my interest in the club.

“It was not long before the patrons of Mbabane Highlanders FC, led by Mabuza, approached me. They drove to Johannesburg to meet with me and requested that I take over the club. It only took me two weeks of thought and consideration before I expressed interest, after conducting a preliminary assessment of the opportunity.”

Following her acceptance, the patrons agreed to unveil her as the president of Mbabane Highlanders FC, with some changes to the club logo as well as the addition of AM to the club’s name.

Unveiling
“As a result, I was unveiled as the president of Mbabane Highlanders AM FC on July 12, at Ocean Cuisine in Manzini. A couple of photos from the unveiling are attached hereto.

“Consequently, the patrons of Mbabane Highlanders Football Club gave me an Interim Management Agreement as a preliminary instrument for the takeover. Upon signing the agreement, I registered a local company named Mbabane Highlanders AM (Pty) Limited.

“A copy of the company’s certificate of incorporation is attached and marked as annexure ‘SM3’. I also secured office space, entered into a lease agreement for the premises, and applied for a trading licence, as the club will be selling merchandise to supporters.

“As a second step towards the acquisition, I learnt that Mbabane Highlanders Football Club is also registered as a company. I approached the current owners and directors.

“According to its founding documents, Mbabane Highlanders FC (Pty) Ltd is owned by Alfred Tabello Kgomongwe (80% shareholding), Thembinkosi Mamba (10% shareholding, on behalf of the patrons), and Kenneth V. Dlamini (10% shareholding, on behalf of the supporters).

The shareholders and directors of Mbabane Highlanders FC (Pty) Ltd agreed to transfer their shares to Mbabane Highlanders AM FC (Pty) Ltd. The directors are currently in the process of transferring their shares.

“This well-coordinated effort has led to a smooth facilitation of the club with the Eswatini Football Association, in preparation for the upcoming season,” the documents state.
