Her Majesty the Indlovukazi, in partnership with FNB Eswatini and Pick n Pay, through the Minister of Health, Mduduzi Matsebula, gifted all 59 babies born on Christmas with presents valued at E80 000.
The gifts, which included swaddles, crocs, mini blankets and diapers were personally delivered by the minister at Mbabane Government Hospital on the day.
According to Matsebula, the initiative reached 11 health facilities across the country, with officials from the ministry of health overseeing distribution in institutions he could not personally visit.
While the gifts were primarily meant for babies born on Christmas, the minister said special consideration was also extended to mothers who had given birth a few days before Christmas. Among those who benefitted were premature triplets currently admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU), as well as a set of twins who were born elsewhere and later referred to Mbabane Government Hospital.

The minister emphasised that the gifts were particularly meaningful as they came directly from Her Majesty the Indlovukazi, alongside FNB Eswatini and Pick n Pay.
He noted that the gesture was aimed at supporting mothers from disadvantaged backgrounds who might struggle to afford basic baby necessities.
Matsebula said healthcare workers were humbled by the generosity and appealed for continued cooperation with the ministry to uphold the standards set by Their Majesties in celebrating babies born on Christmas.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement and laughter as the minister interacted warmly with the mothers, occasionally cracking jokes.
He also expressed hope that fathers would provide the necessary support to the new mothers as they embarked on the journey of parenthood.
