Ceremony of Pride and Unity

The Umhlanga Reed Dance Ceremony once again attracted throngs of Imbali from all regions of Eswatini and beyond. The maidens, filled with patriotism and pride, adhered to the royal summons and danced with joy before Their Majesties and honoured guests.
African leaders also joined the occasion, with some bringing their own regiments to march alongside local ones.
This past Monday, which was declared a public holiday as the main day of the ceremony, saw the maidens dancing up a storm before Their Majesties, celebrating Eswatini’s culture and unity.
