The much anticipated Rhythm and Groove event shook 23:28 Lounge, delivering an unforgettable explosion of house music, local talent and pure dance floor magic.
Local DJs set the bar high while preparing the crowd for South African House DJ, Fatso 98 whose set was nothing short of amazing.
Master Jack and award winning DJ Slotta, were the first to light up the night, they individually stepped up to the decks and served, they kept the vibe alive with pulsating beats and seamless transitions that elevated the crowd into full party mode. The dance floor was packed, drinks flowed and every beat echoed pure excitement.
Tharo and DJ Cup showed up and showed off, serving back to back electrifying sets that had the crowd moving nonstop.
Their mastery of soulful house and deep grooves set the tone for the evening, leaving the audience craving for more.
The real eruption came when South Africa’s acclaimed house DJ, Fatso 98 took the stage. The room erupted into a frenzy as he delivered a set that was nothing short of a master class in sound and crowd control.
Fatso 98 did not just drop beats, he landed them, sending waves of energy through every corner, power glitches had nothing on him as he set the lounge on fire.
House heads and patrons were buzzing, “I came for the music and Fatso 98 delivered, it felt like we were at a massive festival, not just a lounge in Mbabane,” said Temasiko Sibandze house fan.
Other house fanatics were stunned by Eswatini’s crème de la crème, “Slotta and DJ Cup had me dancing nonstop, I didn’t even check my phone all night, and that says a lot,” said Muzi Mkhabela.
Even first timers were impressed, “honestly, I didn’t know what to expect, but Master Jack and Tharo pulled me in right from the start, the energy, the lights, the music, I am definitely coming back for the next one,” shared Lihle Dlamini.

The South African master of the mix Fatso 98, explained how power cuts almost ruined his set and how he exercised patience.
“I really have a positive review with regards to Eswatini but today the power almost messed up my set, but I was patient,” he said
He shared that besides the power glitches the reception was amazing as usual.
Fatso 98 said he had been in the country more than four times and everytime he came it was always a blast.
“I’m always getting good reception, people are always happy to see me,” he said.
Speaking on collaborations he expressed that his longstanding relationship with Eswatini’s DJ Cup was one reason that brought him to Eswatini.
“The reason why Cup called me here is because I worked with him four years ago, so a lot of people knew who I was, We did a remix with Zinia and it was beautiful,” he explained.
Fatso 98 did not hold back, he said he was cooking something with one of Eswatini’s biggest artist in South Africa, but had to keep his name under wraps until their release.
“I’m working on something with someone, I can’t mention because we agreed that it’s going to be a secret until it comes out,” said the DJ. He added that he was also dropping something with a lot of talented artists in South Africa.
“I’m also dropping something with a lot of slept on artists that are in SA, it’s coming out on June 13 and it’s going to be amazing,” he shared.
