Lutsango from across the country — including those from government institutions and private companies — gathered at Buhleni to present their gifts to Her Majesty.

Some delivered buganu, while others brought hampers and fresh farm produce from their fields as a symbol of appreciation and unity.

The atmosphere was vibrant as Lutsango sang and danced in jubilation while presenting tetfulo, reflecting the spirit of togetherness that defines the annual cultural celebration.

One Lutsango member from Macetjeni, Fortunate Msibi, described the ceremony as a special moment for women to unite and uplift one another.

“As women, we are excited to be here at Buhleni Royal Residence. We come here to ease stress, share ideas and motivate one another. We are grateful to Her Majesty the Indlovukazi for bringing us together in unity,” said Msibi.

Another member from Maphalaleni, Zandile Hlophe, said they had eagerly awaited the day to attend the festival.

THIS YEAR’S FESTIVAL ROOTED ON AGAPE LOVE — MINISTER

Minister of Home Affairs Princess Lindiwe has said this year’s Buganu Festival is rooted in agape love, in line with His Majesty Mswati III’s call.

The minister was speaking on Day 1 of the first leg of the Buganu Festival at the Buhleni Royal Residence.

She said the numbers of the Lutsango regiment showed that they were heeding the King’s call of unity and extending love.

“It is evident that Lutsango is full of agape love, and this is commendable,” she said.

The minister described the turnout as impressive and noted that the tetfulo presented were of high quality and fit for Their Majesties.

She added that respect was highly expected from the regiment until the end of the first leg of the festival.

The Lutsango regiment, she emphasised, is known for its discipline and respect.

Princess Lindiwe further highlighted that the arena had been given a facelift and modified to suit the regiment’s dancing performances.

“This year’s dancing will be different from all the other years. This shows that this is a great and significant year for the nation as we will be celebrating His Majesty King Mswati III’s 40 years on the throne,” she said.

She urged the nation to attend the celebration, which will be held at the Somhlolo National Stadium.
