SOCCEREswatini Football Association (EFA) Marketing and Communications Officer Muzi Radebe says Sihlangu Semnikati head coach Zdravko Logarusic is yet to announce the final squad that will report for camp ahead of the World Cup qualifiers.

The nation’s pride will face Cameroon on 4 September in Cameroon and will also play away against Libya. International players are expected to join the rest of the team at a later stage.

This follows the circulation of a leaked 30-man squad on social media on Tuesday afternoon, which was heavily dominated by players from Royal Leopard and Nsingizini Hotspurs.

Radebe stated that they were unaware of the leaked squad and revealed that the coach would release the final list next week.

He added that the media would then be formally invited for the announcement.

“May I kindly not divulge more on the list you are asking about. The coach has full authority to select players and reveal his final squad. For now nothing regarding the squad is known to the office. The coach has clearly stated that the national team’s final squad will be announced next week,” he said.

Raising eyebrows in the leaked list was the omission of Nsingizini Hotspurs’ crafty midfielder and Player of the Season Yeki ‘Madumane’ Khumalo, as well as reigning Ingwenyama Cup Player of the Tournament Thokozani ‘Thikithi’ Dlamini, who plays for Royal Leopard. All the players are now set to miss the much-anticipated 8Bet Trade Fair Cup.
