Despite being mathematically eliminated from the race to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, Ntibane insists the two remaining fixtures are far from meaningless.

The recently appointed tactician, who took over following the departure of Zdravko Logarušić by mutual consent, believes his side still has everything to play for.

“This game is very crucial for us despite not qualifying for the next round. There are ranking points at stake, which are important for future international competitions. We are also playing at home in front of our fans, and no one wants to lose at home,” he said.

Ntibane revealed that team morale was high and that the players were adapting well to his methods.

Although a few squad members have been ruled out through injury, the coach expressed confidence in his available options.

“All the players know what is at stake. The spirit is high in camp, and even though we’ve had some injuries, we have enough depth to compete,” he said.

Meanwhile, Angola’s head coach Patrice Beaumelle acknowledged the challenge of facing Eswatini on home soil after the Palancas Negras endured a weather-related flight delay earlier in the week.

“It was a long trip, but we’ve arrived safely and will adapt to the conditions. We know Eswatini haven’t played at home for several years, so they will be motivated to perform well for their fans. This will be a challenge for us,” he said.

Beaumelle added that Angola would use the final two qualifiers to fine-tune their preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), where he aims to finalise his strongest possible squad.

“Our target is to finish this campaign strongly and identify players for AFCON,” he added.

Kick-off is scheduled for 3 PM at Somhlolo National Stadium.
