SWATI traditional afro pop artist Sancheziey has breathed new life into his hit track ‘Siyabonga Gogo’ with an exciting remix that features iconic voices and fresh talent alike.
The remix brings together the legendary Lodanda, superstar Young Zesh, and the powerful Limkokwing Choir, creating a cultural masterpiece that honours Swati heritage while pushing creative boundaries.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the remix, Sancheziey said: “Before the sit down and coding of the remix, I had a question; can a beautiful thing be made even more beautiful? After the recording session of the remix, my answer was yes.”
He credited the Limkokwing Choir’s involvement during the Limkokwing Graduation event as the spark that ignited the idea. “The choir gave me a taste that I couldn’t rest,” he said, praising how their vocals transformed the song in a uniquely beautiful way.
One of the standout moments of the remix was the return of Lodanda, whose soulful presence added an emotional depth that resonated deeply. Sancheziey revealed: “A collaboration with her has always been a pending dream, and thank you to Lindelwa Mafa for connecting me with her. The last time she was in a booth was 2015, so having to introduce her back in the music scene was everything to us.”

He stated that Lodanda’s contribution takes listeners on a heartfelt journey, evoking memories of moments with her grandmother.
Adding a dynamic layer to the remix is Young Zesh, who brings his signature hip hop flows that complement the song’s theme. Sancheziey said: “If the point of the remix was taking the song to higher grounds then he is definitely the target.”
He added that Young Zesh’s stylish delivery blended seamlessly with the original vibe, enhancing the track’s appeal.
“The recording session itself was a full cultural celebration, reflecting the ‘Salukazana’ brand’s dedication to embracing Swati culture,” Sancheziey said.
He expressed gratitude to Mabhodweni for ensuring that the vision came to life on set. The session also featured a visual shoot, capturing every moment of what Sancheziey called “one of the biggest highlights in my music life.”
He stated that the production was a collaborative effort between two producers, Tus Mvuleni of Emadlelweni Music and Sean Cast HQ.
He added that visuals were handled by MegaSounds Records, while Ejal’dini Studios captured stunning photos from the session.
“Key contributors included Mabhodweni, who also performed ‘Luveve’ on the track, Ceceboy who finely tuned the choir’s vocals, Cy Ndukwemnyama who guided Lodanda’s performance, and Ulaka Lebhubezi whose ad-libs brought a nostalgic Bujaha vibe,” said Sancheziey.
Recorded at the Arts and Culture Studios in Manzini last week, Sancheziey said the remix was set for release on Saturday.
As the year closes, Sancheziey expressed excitement for the drop, saying he was determined to raise the bar and deliver one of the best collaborations the country had ever seen.
