GOVERNMENT has invited the business community to actively participate in the national celebrations marking His Majesty King Mswati III’s 40th anniversary on the throne.
Minister of Home Affairs Princess Lindiwe made this call during the official unveiling of the commemorative logo for His Majesty’s 58th birthday and 40th coronation anniversary at the Happy Valley Hotel on Monday in Ezulwini.
She said this positions the historic milestone as both a moment of national pride and an opportunity for private-sector engagement.
The minister said the celebrations scheduled for April 24 at Lobamba in the Hhohho Region mark a significant milestone for the country, as the King’s birthday coincides with the fourth decade of his reign.
She further urged businesses to own and embrace the event, as well as play a visible role in commemorating the achievement.

“The fact that this year’s birthday event coincides with His Majesty’s 40th coronation anniversary indicates that 2026 is a great year for Emaswati. Therefore, it is imperative to combine our collective efforts and celebrate this achievement in a spirit of national pride and unity.
“I therefore invite the entire nation and the business community to own the event and celebrate this milestone as we showcase our nation’s rich culture and heritage,” said the minister.
As part of the preparations, the ministry also officially unveiled the commemorative logo, featuring the iconic portrait of His Majesty widely recognised on the country’s currency.
The design symbolises continuity, stability and the enduring bond between the King and his people, while reflecting the country’s four-decade journey of resilience, growth and steady progress under his leadership.
Princess Lindiwe announced that the logo would be available free of charge from the Ministry of Home Affairs communications office, a move aimed at promoting inclusive participation by all stakeholders.
She added that the office would provide stakeholders with guidance on the appropriate use of the logo to ensure quality, uphold ethical standards and maintain consistency across all celebratory materials.
She emphasised that the celebration offered an opportunity for the country to unite as a nation in celebrating the peace and unity that has distinguished His Majesty’s reign for the past 40 years.
“Indeed, this has been a remarkable journey for us as a nation, marked by unwavering hope, collective resilience, combined fortitude and divine preservation. This occasion also presents us with an opportunity to reflect on the progress we have made together and to reaffirm our dedication to shaping a better tomorrow,” she added.
