SOCCER – MBABANE Highlanders Public Relations Officer (PRO) Khayelihle ‘Karas’ Dlamini has downplayed rising claims of internal divisions within the club, insisting that the team remains united and focused despite a few disruptive voices on the sidelines.

Speaking yesterday on the EBIS1 Sports Programme, Dlamini reassured supporters that the black-and-gold outfit was intact and in high spirits, even after their recent 1–0 defeat to Sisonkhe.

He said the technical team had already regrouped, analysed the shortcomings from the match and was working tirelessly to secure a better performance in their next outing.

“They have sat down as a technical team and addressed what needs to be fixed. The camp is in high spirits, and the boys are ready to fight. We are hoping for a better game this coming weekend and invite our fans to come in numbers,” he said.

Dlamini dismissed rumours of widespread division within the club, stating that the negative noise circulating among some sections of supporters was being fuelled by only a few unknown individuals. He stressed that these voices did not represent the true spirit or loyalty of the Highlanders fan base.

“The team is intact. What you are hearing is just noise from a few unknown people who are determined to spoil a beautiful thing. Our supporters love the team, they follow the team, and they stand with us,” he said.

His remarks follow a report by the Eswatini Observer that a small group allegedly linked to the club had approached former Highlanders boss Ally Kgomongwe for assistance – sparking renewed speculation about divisions within the club.

In recent matches, a handful of supporters have also been seen cheering for teams playing against Highlanders, further raising concerns. However, Dlamini insisted that these actions were not reflective of the broader Highlanders community.

He urged unity ahead of the club’s crucial encounter against Ezulwini United at the Mavuso Sports Centre this weekend, expressing confidence that the squad would bounce back with supporters fully behind them.
