Montigny Investments has once again proven itself as a corporate giant with a human heart, pouring over E80 000 into life-changing community projects in Bhunya and surrounding areas.
Yesterday, the company donated more than E40 000 to three local institutions.

Mhlambanyatsi Inkhundla received E20 000 to boost its water pipes project aimed at bringing clean water closer to residents.
The handover was done by Clinton Diedricks, Compliance and Production Manager; Thembi Maphanga, Group Human Resources Manager; Nokuphila Sacolo, Human Resources Officer and Sihle Mavuso, Group Risk and Community Manager.

Accepting the donation was Mhlambanyatsi Member of Parliament, Dr Bonginkhosi Dlamini, who emphasised the impact of this support.
“The purpose of this project is to bring water to residents so they no longer have to walk long distances to fetch it. People should be able to access water right in their backyards,” said MP Dlamini.
St Annes High School received E10 000 towards the construction of their zondle feeding area roofing.

The school’s head teacher, Sihawu Khumalo, accepted the donation alongside three pupils – Vumile Simelane, Sindiswa Shabangu, and Ntokozo Zwane. Speaking on behalf of the pupils, Sindiswa said, “We greatly appreciate this donation because now we will be able to enjoy our lunch meals comfortably despite any weather conditions. We assure Montigny that their donation will echo beyond bricks and mortar.” The headteacher explained that the roofing project costs E26 000 and Montigny had helped them reach halfway.

“This is really going a long way. Now the girls will be able to eat in a safe environment without being affected by harsh weather. “The zondle feeding scheme is one of the factors that motivates them to come to school, so Montigny’s partnership will surely encourage attendance,” she said.

Eqinisweni Community Primary School also received E11 000 towards corrugated iron sheets for their assembly area roofing project, which is expected to accommodate up to 1 000 pupils.
Currently, the school enrolment stands at 742. The donation was received by Buyisile Tfwala, who said it would create a safer and more conducive learning environment.

These donations come just days after Montigny also donated E50 000 to Tabelweni for their water pump.
Montigny continues to touch lives beyond its business operations, ensuring that clean water, safe feeding areas, and improved learning environments are realities in communities.
