Seventeen-year-old Sizolwethu Simelane, newly crowned Miss Teen Eswatini 2025/26, has encouraged the youth to dream big, lead with humility, and follow their hearts.
Speaking after her victory on Saturday at a dazzling ceremony held at REO Hall in Nhlangano, Simelane described the moment as life-changing.
“I have no words to describe how I feel. Winning the title of Miss Teen Eswatini 2025/26 is a dream come true,” she said joyfully.
A Leader in the Making
Simelane humbly told her peers not to see her as a perfect leader, but as someone still growing and learning alongside them.
“A leader is made, not born,” she said, urging young people to embrace their journeys with patience and determination.
Her vision as Miss Teen Eswatini is to connect with youth through genuine interaction, making it easier to inspire those who share her age and challenges.

Community and Culture
Simelane pledged to use her new role to uplift communities and empower young people. She will also represent maidens at the upcoming Umhlanga Ceremony, a celebration of cultural pride and unity.
“It’s an opportunity to inspire young people to embrace their heritage and potential,” she added.
More Than Just a Pageant
According to Miss Teen Eswatini Director Penelope Maziya, the pageant celebrates much more than beauty — it’s a platform for youth empowerment.
Alongside Sizolwethu, regional queens were crowned:
-
Temalungelo Msibi (Shiselweni)
-
Lungiswa Nkosi (Lubombo)
-
Sinomokuhle Dube (Hhohho)
-
Nonhle Kunene (Manzini)
Maziya described Simelane’s story as a powerful reminder that with passion, humility, and commitment, young people can rise to inspire others.
“Her journey encourages all youngsters to dream big, work hard, and grow into the leaders they aspire to be,” said Maziya.
