The Minister of Information, Communications and Technology Savannah Maziya has announced the appointment of a new Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM) board, which will serve for the next three years.
Announcing the Board during a press briefing this morning, the minister said the new board would be responsible for guiding policy direction and developing regulations that would strengthen the country’s communications and technology sector.

She emphasised that the Board’s work would focus on creating an enabling environment for business growth, innovation and digital inclusion, ensuring that all Emaswati benefit from advancements in the ICT industry.

The newly appointed Board Chairperson also Business Eswatini CEO E. Nathi Dlamini, together with his team, is expected to provide strategic leadership and oversight to the commission as it continues to regulate telecommunications, broadcasting and postal services in the country.
The board is also expected to promote fair competition and consumer protection in the sector.
Minister Maziya expressed confidence that the new board members possessed the expertise and vision required to drive the sector forward, aligning with Eswatini’s national development goals and Vision 2022 aspirations.
Their appointment marks another step towards positioning Eswatini as a competitive player in the regional and global digital economy.
