He said this reflected the success of the 2025 Year of Transformation initiative, which seeks to prepare the nation for opportunities and challenges in the digital era.
The king described education as the cornerstone of national and personal transformation, refining character, elevating status, and empowering individuals to contribute meaningfully to society.

He congratulated the 182 graduands for their resilience and commitment, urging them to carry the torch of knowledge to shape the young minds that would build Eswatini’s future. The king said the graduates had not only acquired academic qualifications but also practical skills, ranging from agriculture and expressive arts to music that would sustain them even beyond the teaching profession.
Reflecting on the recent Shiselweni Reed Dance, His Majesty praised the role of teachers in promoting Eswatini’s cultural values within schools. He said the event demonstrated that maidens were being taught and encouraged to practise their cultural heritage, thanks to the dedication of educators, some of whom were products of Ngwane Teacher’s College.
He urged the new teachers to emulate such examples by fostering pride and national identity among learners, ensuring that traditional values continued to thrive in modern classrooms.

The king expressed appreciation to Microprojects and the Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM) for improving the college’s facilities. He noted that Microprojects had helped create an environment of pride and dignity, while ESCCOM had provided essential digital gadgets that enhanced learning, especially for students with disabilities.
He further acknowledged government’s pivotal role in strengthening the college through vehicle provision, scholarships, and the installation of boreholes and water reticulation systems. The water project, he said, would ease financial pressures caused by high water bills, allowing the college to channel more resources into innovative teaching and sustainable farming initiatives.
The king also praised the entrepreneurial spirit among students who participated in the ENACTUS programme, which equips young people with leadership and innovation skills to build sustainable ventures. He said their ingenuity served as a beacon of hope for the future, adding that embracing entrepreneurship was key to self-reliance and the economic growth of Eswatini.
His Majesty further applauded the lecturers for their tireless efforts in moulding future leaders. He expressed delight that the college now boasts 11 PhD holders and 28 master’s degree holders, a testament to its commitment to academic excellence.
