The University of Eswatini (UNESWA) graduate who was allegedly fired by an Asian businessman for attending her graduation ceremony has found new employment, this time with INSTACASH.
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science Education graduate Sebenele Dlamini will officially join the company’s Information and Technology Department on November 1, marking a powerful comeback after her unfair dismissal.

Last Saturday, Dlamini attended her graduation at UNESWA, Kwaluseni campus. While celebrating the milestone, she reportedly received a call from one of her bosses at Let Us Repair, an Asian-owned business in Matsapha’s Lifestyle Centre, informing her not to return to work.
When she reported for duty on Monday, she was paid E700 for the nine days worked and told to go home.
Since the story broke, public outrage and solidarity poured in, with several individuals and organisations, including businessman Lutfo Dlamini, offering legal assistance and employment support.
“I am excited and still cannot believe that I have secured another job so soon. I hope that after the three-month probation, I will be confirmed as a permanent employee,” said Dlamini.
She expressed gratitude to businessman Lutfo Dlamini, who is helping her settle her outstanding university fees so she can collect her graduation certificate.
“This shows that God is truly at work in my life,” she added.
INSTACASH Confirms Appointment
INSTACASH Commercial Manager Bongani Dube confirmed that the company met with Dlamini on Tuesday to assess her qualifications and skills, which led to a formal offer in the IT department.
“This indefinite-term role focuses on supporting digital finance operations, innovation in mobile money services, financial inclusion projects, and community engagement initiatives,” said Dube.
He added that the company was inspired by Dlamini’s resilience and perseverance after the unfair dismissal and that her hiring reflects INSTACASH’s commitment to youth empowerment and job creation.
As part of its Corporate Social Investment (CSI) framework, INSTACASH continues to run mentorship schemes, internships, and partnerships with tertiary institutions to help bridge the gap between education and employment.
