The much-anticipated Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival is set to light up House On Fire this weekend and music lovers have every reason to be excited.
Three talented DJs Rekorder, Lady Zee and Chantel will be some of the artists making their debut performances at the festival. These artists will take the stage at the Stella Artois Beer Garden, which will also showcase electrifying performances from South African singer Lady Zamar and rising star Nomfundo Moh.
Meanwhile, other fresh faces will be introduced at the Buzz Amphitheatre, sharing the spotlight with local favourites like Miss T, Trend Twins and Maradona.
Here’s what the debuting DJs have to say about their upcoming performances:
Rekorder
“This will be my first time performing at Luju Festival, and I’m incredibly honoured to be part of such a prestigious event that celebrates music, fashion, food and culture in such a unique way. Being included in the line-up for one of the biggest festivals in the country feels surreal. It’s a big moment for me as a DJ and creative. Luju isn’t just a stage, it’s a whole experience and I’m grateful to finally be part of that energy. It’s also a great affirmation of the hard work I’ve been putting in over the past years. Patrons can expect a fun, feel good set with great music to dance to. I’ll be bringing a mix of new wave amapiano, with a few surprises to keep the crowd moving. I can’t wait to connect with the crowd and be part of this incredible celebration!”
Lady Zee
“This is my debut performance at Luju Festival. I’m ecstatic and grateful that I’ve been chosen to participate and can’t wait to deliver an amazing set. People must expect spontaneous dancing, smiling and loads of fun building up into a memorable night!!”
Chantel
“I’m super stoked to be performing at Luju for the first time. I’m beyond thrilled to be part of such an iconic festival. As for my set, expect a high-energy performance with a mix of my latest hits and fan favourites. Get ready to dance and sing along!”
With such diverse and dynamic talents on the roster, the Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival promises a weekend filled with infectious beats, unforgettable moments and a true celebration of Africa’s rich creative culture. Don’t miss out on these incredible debut performances.
