DARTS – ESWATINI youth national darts team coach Flag Nxumalo has expressed his delight after his charges shone at the Region 5 Confederation 2025 Championships.
The young squad clinched three gold medals at the 8th Biennial Youth Darts Championships hosted in Mazowe, Zimbabwe.
Speaking after the team’s success, elated Nxumalo admitted he was overwhelmed by the team’s performance.
“It is amazing to coach a team of this calibre. I am emotional after winning three gold medals and finishing top in the Under-15 category. I am really happy and grateful to everyone who has supported us. We will continue to work hard,” he said.
The regional competition featured teams from Namibia, South Africa, Lesotho, Malawi, Botswana, Zambia and hosts Zimbabwe.
Eswatini’s squad was drawn from schools including Charles Wesley, Elangeni, Mhlatane and Swazi National High, further highlighting the strength of local grassroots development.
