The Prince of Wales Sports grounds alive with song, prayer and a palpable sense of unity from 7 to 9 August , as hundreds of young people gathered for the Youth Revival Crusade & Gathering 2025, hosted by the Schools Mission under the visionary leadership of Solomon Zikalala.

While the air was filled with joyous worship, the heart of the event was a deeply serious mission to draw young people closer to God and equip them to resist the dangerous currents threatening today’s youth.

“The event was just for soul winning and bringing an awareness to the youth about the last and greatest revival,” Zikalala explained. “Its inspiration comes from God Himself. He planted it in our hearts that we gather the young people for an experience with Jesus.”

The crusade featured preaching, worship and moving testimonies of transformation. Attendees described it as an atmosphere of hope and renewal, with moments where music and prayer blended into a shared spiritual heartbeat.

For Zikalala, this was more than a weekend gathering, it was a strategic stand against what he describe as a ‘rising tide’ of harmful influences. “The mission is about saving young people, not just from sin, but also from dangerous influences such as gangsterism, which has become widespread in the country,” he said.

The Schools Mission, founded on the belief that real change begins with the ‘inner person,’ has a track record of reaching young people in schools, tertiary institutions and correctional facilities.

Over the years, the team has ministered in all four regions of the country and expanded into South Africa, Botswana and Kenya, and Lesotho is next on their itinerary.

Pulling off a three-day event of this scale came with significant challenges. “Most challenges were spiritual because we were stepping on new ground,” Zikalala admitted. “It was a big event that needed quite costly resources, but God came through for us.”

From the vibrant praise sessions to the quiet, reflective altar calls, the Youth Revival Crusade was a tapestry of faith moments each woven with the conviction that the youth of today can become leaders of tomorrow’s spiritual awakening.

Looking ahead, Zikalala says the Schools Mission will now focus on upcoming international trips and school engagements.
“We will definitely be doing the event next year,” he affirmed.
