The Eswatini Meteorology Services have predicted temperatures ranging between 5 to 17 degrees Celsius this winter season.

This was disclosed by Eswatini Meteorological Services Meteorologist Sifiso Nzalo, who said the temperatures were likely to be normal to above normal at night.

Nzalo added that the maximum temperatures expected between the period ranged between 16 to 26 degrees Celsius on average. This is between the period covering June to August.

He said the country’s seasonal rainfall forecast update for this winter showed that there would be a generally normal forecast with a bias of below-normal rainfall over most parts of the country during the period.

Nzalo added, however, that there was a chance of normal to above normal maximum temperatures, whereby temperatures would range between 18 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius over most parts of the region.

“Shorter timescale climate variations may occur and this can be determined through our daily and 10-day weather forecasts. The Eswatini Meteorological Service will continue provide updates during the winter season,” he said.
