Miss Eswatini 2024/25 Temvelo Nicole Mtsetfwa has taken legal action, accusing pageant partners of failing to deliver her promised prize vehicle.
Mtsetfwa has launched court proceedings against Kwando Lifestyle Brands and Oukitel Eswatini after alleging that the two entities failed to honour an agreement to provide her with a Jaecoo J7 motor vehicle as part of her pageant winnings.

This is according to court papers filed in the High Court, contained in the particulars of claim dated June 26.
Mtsetfwa asserts that she entered into a written agreement with the two companies in November 2024 at Ezulwini Happy Valley Hotel.
The claim states that Kwando Lifestyle Brands, cited as the first defendant, acted as the marketing agency and distribution rights holder for Oukitel Eswatini, the second defendant, which hosted the 2024 Miss Eswatini pageant.
The agreement was signed by Mtsetfwa and Mduduzi Shongwe, identified in the documents as the managing director and authorised representative of both defendants.
The agreement required that Shongwe delivered the Jaecoo J7 to the beauty queen ‘on or before December 19, 2024,’ according to the filing. Mtsetfwa shared that although she fulfilled all her obligations under the agreement, the vehicle was never delivered.
After months of waiting, Mtsetfwa’s attorneys issued a formal letter of demand on May 28, 2025, giving the companies 14 days to comply.
Despite the notice, the claim stated that the two companies failed, thereby persisting in a material breach of the agreement.

As a consequence, Mtsetfwa argued that she has suffered loss and now seeks either specific performance — meaning delivery of the vehicle within seven days of a court order — or damages equivalent to the value of the car, along with any consequential losses arising from the breach. She also seeks interest at 9% and legal costs.
Mtsetfwa’s legal team argues that she has been compelled to institute these proceedings due to ongoing non-compliance by the two companies.
The case underscores growing concerns surrounding corporate accountability in high-profile national pageants, where prize fulfilment forms a central part of winners’ contractual expectations.
