The Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival continues to shine as a vibrant platform dedicated to uplifting and showcasing the rich creative talents within the country.
This year’s festival features over 30 local artists across multiple stages, highlighting its unwavering commitment to promoting homegrown artistry and culture. On the Luju main stage, four dynamic local artists, including iYA and Sands, will captivate audiences with their unique sounds and performances.
Meanwhile, the MasterCard stage hosts five performers, among them returning favourites like the ballet dancers from Talent n Motion and the trio to perform under the name ‘Feather Dusters’:
Dusty and Stones featuring Floewe. The country duo said: “We’re rehearsing enthusiastically for the festival. We are excited to thrill audiences under a clever moniker suggested by Floewe to represent our collaboration on such a big stage.”
The blend of dance and music reflects the festival’s inclusive spirit and its support for diverse creative expressions.
The Stella Artois stage stands out as a powerhouse of local and regional talent, packed with 17 talented DJs such as Lady Zee, Sgitha, Locco, and Ayacity.
Adding an international flavour, to the stage are three renowned South African artists, among them Lady Zamar who promised a dynamic fusion of sounds that celebrate the broader African music scene while firmly rooting the festival in local culture.
“I’m excited and look forward to the festival where I will be unleashing some of my unreleased music which will be dropping under ‘ROSE III’ very soon , so people should come through in numbers,” said Ayacity.
Meanwhile, the Buzz-Amphitheatre stage is dedicated exclusively to local artists, featuring eight performers, including Miss T, ItsAllBlaq, and Sbu De Drum DJ.
This focus underlines the festival’s mission to provide a strong platform for local musicians and performers to shine as sited by the festival director each year.
