There were smiles and renewed hope at Emachegwini Primary School under Nkhaba Inkhundla when Eswatini Mobile launched its ‘Pay Your Bill – Back to School Edition’ campaign.

Speaking at the ceremony, CEO Sydney Sichula said the initiative forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programme aimed at making a tangible difference in communities across the country.
At the heart of the event was the donation of 41 pairs of school shoes to pupils in need — a gesture Sichula described as simple but deeply meaningful.
“A pair of shoes restores dignity, boosts confidence and removes one more barrier that may stand between a child and their education. It is our way of saying we see you, we value you and we believe in your future,” he said.
He emphasised that education remains one of the most powerful investments any nation can make, echoing King Mswati III’s call for stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors.
“By investing in our children, we are investing in the future workforce, leaders and innovators,” he said.
Sichula reaffirmed the telecommunications company’s commitment to supporting government efforts to ensure no child is left behind due to circumstances beyond their control.

“In alignment with this national vision, our board — led by our founder and visionary, Michelo Shakantu — together with management, remains deliberate in ensuring that Eswatini Mobile does not only lead in technology and innovation, but also plays an active role in nation-building and community upliftment,” he added.
For the pupils, the new term begins not just with new shoes, but with renewed confidence and the backing of a caring community.
