Forbes and Motsoane were gunned down in February 2023 outside a popular restaurant on Florida Road, just outside the Durban CBD.
During yesterday’s brief court appearance, the matter was postponed to 19 June 2026 to deal with further pre-trial matters and to allow for the appointment of a trial judge.

According to the National Prosecuting Authority, the trial will run in two sessions: from 20 July to 21 August 2026, and from 5 October to 6 November 2026.
Meanwhile, two additional suspects, Siyabonga Gezani Ndimande and Malusi Dave Ndimande, are currently fighting their extradition locally.
The last time they were in court in June, they asked for more time from the Supreme Court to file their legal arguments.
“Trial dates officially set for 2026, with pre-trial matters to be resolved by June 19.”
